While leading the stage race at the Brek Epic, and two miles from the win, former Olympian, and Durango native, Howard Grotts was involved in a serious crash having to have been airlifted to Denver for medical care. Thanks to the quick response medical team he received excellent medical care. Howard is now at a rehab facility. A Go Fund Me account has been established by the race organizer, Mike McCormick to assist with medical bills. Please, if you can, make a contribution to get Howard back in the saddle.
