Thursday January 29 – Lola’s Place/Leland House and Pedal Durango host the 3rd Annual Snowdown Bicycle Bunny Hop and Footdown Competition.
Pedal Durango teaming up with Lola’s Place and The Leland House Suites to bring you two “Ages 8 to Adult” classic bicycle contests for Snowdown 2026: Bunny Hop and Footdown! This is a great cycling spectator event with lots of exciting action!
First up is a Bunny Hop competition with the bar raising 1 inch every round. Challenge your buddies for some bragging rights! All bikes are welcome.
Second is Footdown where a large group of cyclists try to balance on two wheels within a confined area, if a rider puts a foot down (or any other part of their body) they are out. As the number of riders decreases so does the confined area usually leaving riders with impressive skills to duel for the win.
Winners of on-site determined categories win trophies and bragging rights for the year. Lola’s will have food and drink specials available to competitors and spectators.
2nd Ave between 7th and 8th Streets will be closed. All competitors must wear a helmet.
