Local Riders dominate the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic
Local riders Coby Freeburn pulled away on Molas Pass to capture the Men’s 2024 Iron Horse Bicycle Classic held over Memorial Day Weekend in a time of 2 hours 12 minutes. On the Pro Women’s Side Lauren Aggeler was the 2024 Female winner with a time of 2 hours 24 minutes.

Volunteers Needed for the Race Across America
We are gearing up for this year’s Race Across the West and are looking forward to another great event. The race will again finish at Santa Rita Park in Durango from Thursday, June 13 to Saturday, June 15th.
We are looking for volunteers to help out on the following days.
– Wednesday, June 12th, 2-4pm: Finish Line Set-up
– Thursday, June 13th, 12pm – Saturday, June 15th, 12pm: Assisting with racer finishes (directing racers to finish chute, handing out awards/medals, etc.). Racers can finish at anytime day or night. Shifts are generally from 6am-12pm, 12pm-6pm; 6pm-12am, and 12am-6am. However, we can be flexible and work with volunteers’ availability.
– Saturday, June 15th, 1-3pm: Finish Line Tear Down
Colorado Rides Returns to Durango and Southwest Colorado for 2024
After a very successful inaugural year Colorado’s Ride is coming back to Durango! The dates of the event is scheduled for August 19 through the 23rd. The organizers of this ride love our little corner of the state and we are very lucky to have them back for another year.
