Durango BMX is a USA BMX Sanctioned Track. This requires all racers to be USA BMX members (annualy $80). Free 1 Day memberships are available for everybody their first race! There are also 3 additional opportunities for a racer to try racing without a full membership; Olympic Day, Warnickee Scholarship, and Race for Life, all of which are on our schedule.
Sanctioned racing offers Colorado C003 District points, Regional & State points/qualifying, clear racing rules, fair moto building, and a pathway for every level of racer. Please contact our Track Operator for additional info about USA BMX.

Church of the High Pines

This group ride has been a Sunday standard for years where the goal is socialize with friends and meet new ones that usually gets a little spicy near the end. It is a fairly easy spin if you have a bit of fitness and know how to ride in a group. Local pros use it as a recovery spin to chat with community folks or before heading out on longer rides. For everyone else it is mostly social.

It all started as a group of local cycling professionals around 35 years ago to throw down with riders like Ned Overend, Julie Furtado, John Tomac, Ruthie Mathes, etc and is now dominated by a new generation of pro riders like Todd Wells, Natalie Quinn, Sepp Kuss, Sarah Sturm, Quinn Simmons, Savilia Blunk, Riley Amos, Michaela Thompson, Payson McElveen, Ava Hachmann, Howard Grotts and a slew of FLC Cycling riders but Ned still shows up to put many in their place.

Tuesday Night Worlds – The C Ride

Doublelona - Out 250, right on HWY550, up New Shalona, descend Old Shalona, right at the bottom, up New Shalona, regroup, home on 250.
C ride is a group ride similar to the Sunday Church of the High Pines ride where the focus is riding, being efficient and safe in the group but maybe with a touch more pace and can get spicey in the last ¼. This group may also be a good entry point for folks looking to get in group rides but are intimidated because of lack of comfort drafting and not knowing group etiquette, hopefully more experienced riders can help them. The ride will also do a full regroup at the top of each major climb.

Texas Creek - Start at Edgemont, CR234, left CR225, left CR228, left CR 502 (regroup at top of Glockenspiel), left CR245, left CR240 to town. Optional add on to Vallecito or Lemon dam and back CR 240.
