Winter Bike to Work Day

Twice a year, the City of Durango celebrates Bike to Work Day, one in the summer and one in the winter. Even though it is called Winter Bike to Work Day, you can bike wherever your destination is, and it is inclusive of all sustainable modes of transportation. Examples of sustainable transportation are walking, biking, rolling, riding transit, or carpooling. The aim of Bike to Work Day is to reduce the number of cars on the road and the negative impacts associated with heavy traffic.

So far, we have Bike to Work Day stations at 1) Studio & Gallery (7-9am), Mountain Dough (business hours), and Durango Sustainable Goods (business hours). We are having the celebration at Tom’s Deli from 5-7pm.
