Durango Mesa Park Trails

The newest addition to the collection of trails in Durango! The system is a collaboration between the City of Durango and the Durango Mesa Park Foundation as a teaser of what is to come in the future at the Durango Mesa Bike Park. The trails were built by well known trail builders Progressive Trail Designs along with some local contractors.
The main focus of the system are the flow trails, one green and two blue/blackish (borrowing from the ski industry difficulty ratings), accessed from a couple different hubs. The trails are chock full of manicured berms and rollable jumps but some of the lips are a bit intimidating for non-jumpers. For those who know how to jump (and those who can now learn how), these trails are a highlight and a long time coming. The Flow Trails are one direction, downhill only.
Not to be understated are the connector trails that are not only ways to access the flow trail hubs but add some great variations for accessing the Horse Gulch/Telegraph trail systems. The Mesa Connector trail starts at the Horse Gulch Rd trailhead and winds its way up the ridge south of Horse Gulch to the Mesa, past the Knob Connector and up to the top of the system at the Green/Blue Flow hub. From here the Telegraph Connector traverses over to the Meadow/Telegraph Trail junction. The Knob Connector provides quick access to the Knob Flow trail from the Horse Gulch meadow. These trails all together add some great new additions to the ride possibilities in the Horse Gulch/Telegraph area.
Last but not least, all of the Mesa trails are Class II E bike friendly! This opens up a whole new world of accessibility for trail users. Please keep E bikes on designated trails as the other trails in the Horse Gulch/Telegraph network do not allow E bikes. It is well signed on which trails E bikes are allowed.
