It’s springtime again and time to review the essentials of proper trail etiquette. This time of year through the fall the trails start to get really busy. So that we can all take advantage of, and stay safe please respect these simple guidelines:
Motorized vehicles must yield to all trail users
Mountain / Off Road bikes must yield to hikers and horses
Hikers must yield to horses
Here are some other thoughts on proper trail etiquette. Hiking / Biking with Animals:
For goodness sake clean up after your animal. No that does not mean leaving your plastic bag on the side of the trail!!
Keep animals on a leash or lead when in crowded areas.
Give larger animals the right of way
Do not let your pet disturb the wildlife. Keep them quiet around other animals.
Of course common sense and courtesy are the two biggest contributors for all of us to share the trails. Be kind and respectful of others while enjoying Mother Nature.
